Hand Blown Glass 'Bubbles'
A client of mine in Concord, MA was installing several light fixtures in her foyer/staircase are which were made of glass. To compliment the light fixtures I installed strands of hand blown glass 'bubbles' of varying sizes and lengths. The end result is rather stunning.... -
Art Installation
This may look like one large piece of art but is actually many separate 16" x 16" oil on canvas pieces. The client asked that the pieces be installed so that each were touching. My laser level cam in quite handy on this project. -
Storage Space
Our local childrens' after school program needed a dedicated area to store their toys. I was asked to build some simple shelving as well as enclose the space and install a door to allow for an organized place for everything. -
Childrens' Art Organizer
This was a fun one-off design of a childrens' art organizer that I created for a client using PVC pipes. -
Evolution of a Children's Playroom Stage
This room was formerly an unfinished spare bedroom in a client's home. It has been transformed into a wonderful place for their children to call their own and put on some performances on their new stage. -
Custom Coat Hangers
These custom coat hangers were created in to look like trees with a bit of a Scandinavian look. They are anchored to the wall with a spacer so as to allow coats to hang on each of the tree limbs. Click the photo for a time lapse photo set of this custom project from start to finish. -
Playhouse
This KidKraft childrens playhouse was purchased by a client who did not have the time for assembly and hired me to complete it for them. The roof was painted a new color with Krylon plastic specific paint and the wood was treated with a child safe sealant to prevent color deterioration. -
Framed Artwork
Hanging one piece of artwork can be as simple as nailing a picture hanger to a wall and hanging the item. Things get a bit more complicated when you have several or more pieces that have been framed independently and need to be hung at the same height. In this case a laser level was used to ensure each piece was hung at the same height. -
Bathroom Organizers
This client chose to showcase some of their personal effects inside custom made wooden boxes. The boxes were secured to the wall using plaster toggle anchors and mirrors were glued to the inside of each box. -
Custom Drapes
These window treatments were designed by an interior designer and custom fabricated from stainless steel. Each panel moves independently from one another. Great care was taken during installation to ensure the main post was perfectly level; ensuring the drapes did not open or close on their own due to gravity. -
Office Shades
While I have occasionally installed 'one off' window treatment designs (see above), most of my window treatment installations fall into the standard category. Roman shades, wooden blinds, etc.- I've installed a wide array of options. -
Flör Modular Carpet Tiles
When considering flooring options, modular carpet tiles have become very popular with interior designers and their clients. This particular client chose Flor tiles. Each tile is approximately 20" x 20" and comes in a vast array of colors allowing for infinite design options when different colors and textures are used in one location. Visit their website at www.flor.com -
Shelving Units
This client needed a way to display their numerous framed photos and didn't have the tabletop space nor did they want to hang each piece on the wall. The solution: wall shelves. Each shelf was attached using plaster toggle anchors and leveled using a laser level. -
Child Proofing
Child proofing comes in myriad forms. As a father of two, I have experience with keeping grabby hands away from choking hazards, sharp items and dangerous places. Whether you are interested in having one room child proofed, or your whole house, I'll ensure you're loved ones are as pleased as the not-so-happy client pictured to the left. ;-) -
